AIRPORT MAINTENANCE/EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

Position: AIRPORT MAINTENANCE/EQUIPMENT OPERATOR The Northwest Regional Airport Terrace-Kitimat is seeking a highly motivated, self-starter to fill a permanent full-time career position in our Airport Operations/Maintenance Team, as an Airport Maintenance/Equipment Operator . Working as part of the operations team, you will perform a variety of activities required for the operational, winter and structural maintenance of airport grounds and surfaces, buildings, drainage and water and sewer systems . The operation of heavy and small equipment is required . Experience in maintenance of asphalt, gravel and grass surfaces, heavy equipment, snow removal, basic building maintenance, and crew supervision would be considered an asset . Applicant must have a minimum of grade 12 education, possess a valid Class 3 Driver’s License with air endorsement (or the ability to acquire this, on your own, within 3 months of employment), possess basic computer skills, have a proven ability to work proficiently unsupervised, be self-motivated, and must provide a Drivers Abstract and pass a security clearance .
